Animal diets

The children researched the diets of animals to discover if they were a herbivore, carnivore or omnivore. They then created a set of teeth that would be suitable for their chosen animal.

Haven’t they done a great job.

Writing in Willow

We have been practising using conjunctions in Willow and have tried to use them in our writing. We played noughts and crosses conjunction bingo. Children had to use the conjunction in a sentence before they could claim it as their own.

Clarice Cliff

The children have been painting in the style of Clarice Cliff, using primary colours in various circles as a background and black to create a silhouette of a tree. Keep your eyes peeled for the end result.

Safer Internet Day

In willow this week the children have been working in teams exploring different ways in which we access the internet and how it is different now to a few years ago.

The children had some great ideas about how to keep safe when using devices.

Always ask an adult!!

During our science lessons we have been exploring the properties of materials and what makes them waterproof. The children explored how quickly water was absorbed into paper and sponges. Next week we will be creating waterproof houses. I wonder what materials the children will choose. Pictures to follow.

Willow have been developing our knowledge of colour, this time we have been printing using lego. I think you will agree I have some little artists in Willow.

Learning to relax

We were learning about our wellbeing and how to use relaxation and meditation and yoga to help us unwind and feel better.
