At Sheriffhales we are committed to meeting the requirements of the National Curriculum. Our curriculum is designed and delivered with our learners at the heart of it. The curriculum is organised into a two year rolling programme to ensure efficient progression and development. It is mostly designed around themes which are age and interest appropriate and can be adapted for particular classes and year groups. English, Maths and Phonics are taught using the support of published schemes, but where appropriate and effective, may also be linked to theme. Teachers regularly review the curriculum offer in subject led meetings, and, progression and monitoring meetings.  Children are regularly and frequently assessed using a variety of methods.  Parents and families are able to support pupils and 'join in' through our homework menus and items.
We celebrate seeing our children become excited, absorbed, challenged and confident through our curriculum, and this is a key focus for curriculum monitoring and review.
