A lovely end to our school year!

As we draw towards the end of another school year we are enjoying some end of year celebrations, albeit a little different to the usual events. Today we enjoyed sports day and the actually shone!

This week Willow Class have worked on completing tasks and projects from this term. In Geography they recalled trips to the seaside with their families writing some lovely descriptions of places they have visited in the past. We also looked at seaside webcams to remind ourselves what the seaside actually looks like! In Maths we continued our seaside theme and did some work based around the book The Snail and the Whale. We used measuring tools and chalk to create life sized humpback whales. we explored how many children could fit inside a calf and an adult whale, the adult was huge and the whole class could fit in it!

Next Monday we are looking forward to celebrating the children and all the hard work they have demonstrated throughout the year. As a special treat we will be holding a picnic in the afternoon when we can enjoy fairy cakes and the strawberry ice-cream we made last week!

Butterfly update- we now have four beautiful Painted Lady butterflies which will be released next Monday on our final day in school!
