Serious Squirrel Situation!
Willow Class were very disappointed this week to find that our sunflower seeds had been stolen! We examined the crime scene and have identified the culprit 'Sammy the Sheriffhales Squirrel'.
We have planted some more seeds; wheat and barley, and have invented some 'defence mechanisms' to protect our crops. Many thanks to the Warrender family for coming to our rescue and providing the seeds. Fingers crossed our crops will now grow successfully.
This week we have been reading The Little Red Hen and have based our writing around this text. However, the squirrel situation provided us with such inspiring ideas; setting traps and catching squirrels that the children's writing has taken on a very different direction to the traditional tale!
