The End of Willow's Indian Adventure!
As the end of term approaches so does the end of our Indian adventure! This week Years 1 and 2 have enjoyed reading the story The Tiger Skin Rug and are in the process of writing stories based on this text. During music we have all continued to explore Indian music, instruments and dance. We have enjoyed using the cricket bats to practise ball control and played a simple game of cricket this week.
Today we cooked a sweet potato and chickpea dahl and even made some simple flatbreads to go with it! The children were quite adventurous and tasted it, though it was a little spicy! Reception children read the book Elephant Dance, created their own dance then filmed it using the iPads whilst Years 1 and 2 completed their digital books based on India using the app Book Creator.
Next term we look forward to our new topic- The Seaside and are sure that the children will love this theme. Until then, have a lovely half term, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you for the final term of the academic year!
