Willow's Harvest Celebrations
This week Willow Class have been writing acrostic poems to celebrate harvest time. We have explored our senses and tasted some different foods. We went on a hunt in the playground for signs of autumn and used our experiences to develop acrostic poems. We read one of the poems in Church during our Harvest Celebration. The children shared some beautiful paintings of harvest food and Reception also shared their favourite foods with the school by calling out the names!
Many thanks to Sainsburys, Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, especially Jack and Jack in the bakery for baking a magnificent Harvest bread for our celebration. Our Headteacher Mrs Hodgson was thrilled with it, as were the children who loved the tiny mouse, whilst Reverend Mike was incredibly moved by your kind gesture. He described it as ' a magnificent achievement by incredibly skilled people!'. Both Mrs Hodgson and Reverend Mike want to pass on their thanks to all involved.
