Headteacher message Summer term week 4

Dear Parents and Carers,

A busy week in school! On Monday we welcomed Mr Allen to Oak Class; the children were so welcoming and it already feels like he’s been here forever. You will get the chance to say hello properly on June 5th, at the Open Showcase afternoon, where parent and carers are invited into school classrooms and children share their pride in their work.

We said our last goodbyes to Mrs Lyon, a stalwart of our school for the last 7 years. Mrs Lyon wanted me to pass on her heartfelt thanks for all the very kind words and gifts she received. She will be very missed by us all.

We welcomed our Acorns parents to an Open Hour today and enjoyed seeing them learning through their play.

I have sent a message out today but could I remind everyone here to please supervise your children at drop off and pick up , on the lanes. We have to remain very careful about traffic speeds, considerate parking and keeping children close as we use the lanes – thank you.

Could I also ask that children stand with you on the playground at pick up, and don’t play in the woods or on the field and playground – thank you.

Have  a lovely Bank Holiday weekend – let’s hope we get some sun!
